Support
Email support@inifo.com and include the iOS version, the watch model and, if it helps, a Diagnostic Export of the workout in question. Replies usually take a day or two.
Exporting a workout
- Open Workout Export and allow Health access when asked. At minimum, turn on Workouts.
- Tap a workout in the list.
- Tap Export JSON at the bottom, then choose Save to Files (iCloud Drive), AirDrop or any other share destination.
Options lets you leave out the GPS route, the per-sample series, the heart-rate recovery curve or the readable summary if you want a smaller file.
The list is empty
iOS never tells an app that Health access was refused, so a missing permission looks like having no workouts. Check Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices › Workout Export and turn on Workouts plus the metrics you want exported. Workouts also need to have synced from the watch; open the Fitness app once if a recent one is missing.
Some metrics are missing
Running power, stride length, ground contact time and vertical oscillation need an Apple Watch Series 6 or later on watchOS 9 or later. Older workouts and workouts from other apps often lack them. The export lists what was missing under notes.
Interval labels
Apple stores the structure of a custom workout but not the step names. Workout Export labels steps warmup, hard, recovery and cooldown from that structure and says so in the file (labelSource). Workouts without programmed steps show one "Whole workout" row.
What is in the file
Every export starts with a summary in miles, minutes per mile and degrees Fahrenheit, a collectionInfo block describing each section, and units for every field name. The rest is the workout, its steps, splits, events, statistics and optional time series. Diagnostic Export is a larger dump of the raw HealthKit objects for troubleshooting.
Subscription
Workout Export Pro is an auto-renewing yearly subscription bought through Apple. To restore it on a new phone use Restore Purchases from the account menu on the workout list. To cancel, open Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions; access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Requirements
iPhone running iOS 17 or later, paired with an Apple Watch. The app reads Health data, so it does not run on iPad, Mac or Apple Vision Pro.
